About Mike Willcutt

Mike came to Humboldt County in 1998 to attend Cal Poly Humboldt, fell in love with the Northcoast, and has lived here since. After graduating with a degree in English and a minor in Finance Mike worked as a Financial Advisor for a Fortune 100 financial services firm before transitioning into commercial real estate: managing  acquisitions, development, leasing, project management, and overall financial performance of a nationwide portfolio of 60+ commercial properties including office buildings, shopping centers, malls, industrial facilities, timberlands, and an international shipping terminal. 

After leaving corporate America Mike joined the California Department of Transportation, conducting appraisals and acquisitions for highway construction projects, before obtaining his real estate license which allowed him the freedom to utilize his diverse and extensive background in real estate while working with clients who benefit from his experience and knowledge of the area. An avid outdoorsman and traveler, Mike spends his free time exploring remote parts of the North Coast and beyond and feels incredibly fortunate to call Humboldt home.
